A college's
primary resource is people and the faculty is the foremost of these. Each of the
permanent faculty has shown in their ministries in local churches and in their
teaching, an integration of spiritual nurture, Biblical and theological understandings
and ministerial leadership. They have developed competence in their own discipline
and maintain close contact with the life of the church at congregational and conference
levels. Each is readily available to students. CCTC maintains a policy
of providing periodical leave so that faculty can engage in continuing research
and competence in their fields of specialisation, as well as continuing experiences
in congregational ministry. CCTC has close association with the faculty
of Whitley College. They evidence a similar commitment to the evangelical tradition
with its strong emphasis on Biblical and theological understanding integrated
with high levels of spiritual maturity and ministry skills. Adjunct faculty
also bring understanding and skills developed through their professional life
and their involvement in local churches. Many of our adjunct lecturers and tutors
are currently ministers and leaders in Churches of Christ.
